This panorama photograph shows the large open pit of the Ray Mine in central Arizona. The Ray Mine is a vast copper mining operation that can be glimpsed along highway 177 south of the town of Superior, Arizona. For a much better view, I found my way to the top of the mountains on the east side of the mine. Many well known Arizona mountains and peaks are visible in this photograph.
